PurpleForce is derived from an advanced variety of Camellis sinesis. This special variety of tea was developed at high elevations in Africa but where equatorial conditions prevail, allowing for intense ultraviolet light bombardment causing the plant to produce high levels of protective anthocyanins and high levels of polyphenols. Grown in Meru, Kenya- the purple tea leaves and shoots used in PurpleForce^® are grown on a pesticide-free plantation and have been tested for residual agricultural chemicals, acute toxicity, and mutagenicity.
